Top-seed out: Defending champ Elias Withdraws From DR21 Motor City Open

Bloomfield Hills, Michigan – World No.3 and four-time champion Diego Elias has withdrawn from the DR21 Motor City Open 2025 due to injury.
Colombia’s Juan Camilo Vargas, who was due to play Elias in the second round today at 18:00 (GMT-5), has been awarded a walkover and will progress to the quarter-finals of the Silver-level event in Detroit.
Elias is a four-time champion at the event, having captured the title in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Round two of the Motor City Open commences today at 17:00 (GMT-5). Tune into the action from Court 3 live on SQUASHTV.
Today’s match between Nathan Lake and Leonel Cardenas has now been switched from Court 2 to Court 3 and will be available to watch live on SQUASHTV.
